Why You’ll Love This Pink Mocktail

    • Quick & Easy: Just blend everything—no cocktail shaker or complicated steps!
    • Healthy: Packed with Vitamin C from tart grapefruit, fresh lemon juice, and no added sugar, thanks to pure maple syrup.
    • Perfect for All Occasions: Great for baby showers, Dry January, or a refreshing treat during special occasions.
    • Customizable: Turn it into a sparkling grapefruit mocktail recipe by adding club soda or soda water, or make it a cocktail with your choice of vodka, tequila, or gin.

    Ingredients & Notes

See the recipe card for full information on ingredients and quantities.

Here's what you need to make these non-alcoholic grapefruit mocktails:

Ingredients to make a grapefruit mocktail.
    • Fresh Grapefruit Juice: Provides a vibrant and tart citrus base. Pink grapefruit juice is a good choice for a sweeter flavor.
    • Lemon Juice & Coconut Cream: Lemon juice adds brightness, while coconut cream gives the drink a creamy, indulgent texture. Use leftover coconut cream to make my Piña Colada Mocktail.
    • Maple Syrup: A natural sweetener that complements the citrus fruit perfectly without the need for simple syrup or added sugar.
    • Fresh Ginger: It pairs beautifully with the grapefruit flavor.
    • Fresh Rosemary: For garnish.

    Top Tips

    • For Fresh Flavors: Use freshly squeezed grapefruit and lemon juice like in my Grapefruit Juice, but store-bought lemon or grapefruit juice works in a pinch.
    • Presentation is Everything: To achieve a vibrant presentation, slice a grapefruit or lime wedge to decorate the rim or garnish with rosemary sprigs.
    • Blend Instead of Stir: Blend the ingredients to create a beautiful foam to top off the drinks.

    Variations & Substitutions

This simple, non-alcoholic drink is an excellent option for those who love to sip on something healthy; it has low calories yet a great flavor. But I have a few variations and substitutions for making it your own.

    • For a Sparkling Twist: Add club soda, tonic water, or sparkling water like in my Sparkling Pineapple Mojito after blending. Grapefruit soda can also work.
    • For a Natural, Sweeter Taste: Add fresh orange juice or juice of a blood orange instead of just lemon juice.
    • Cocktail Recipe: Add a splash of your favorite alcohol—vodka, tequila, or gin—to turn this into a delightful grapefruit cocktail.

    Storage

You can prepare this drink ahead of time and store it in the refrigerator in a sealed pitcher or jar for up to 4 days.

Before serving, stir well or give it a quick blend. Serve over crushed ice for an extra chill.

    Recipe FAQs

Can I use store-bought grapefruit juice?

Yes, you can use store-bought grapefruit juice, but fresh-squeezed juice gives the best flavor and nutrients.

    Is this mocktail kid-friendly?

Absolutely! This drink is alcohol-free, making it a friendly drink for all ages.

How do I make it more festive?

Always serve in beautiful cocktail glasses. I love a small coupe cocktail glass for sipping. Also, garnish with a combination of rosemary sprig and grapefruit wedge for a holiday-ready vibe. Adding fresh mint is a great option, too.
