Creamy Spinach Orange Smoothie (No Yogurt)

This beautiful green and kid-friendly smoothie has a delicious citrusy flavor and is made with fresh fruit like an orange, avocado and refreshing ingredients like ginger and fresh spinach.

Equipment

Ingredients

  • 1 cup spinach about one cup packed (49 grams)
  • 1 orange peeled
  • ¼ avocado
  • ¾ cup pure coconut water unsweetened (175 ml)
  • 1- inch piece fresh ginger root

Instructions

  • Throw all ingredients in a blender or Nutri Bullet.
    1 cup spinach, 1 orange, ¼ avocado, ¾ cup pure coconut water, 1- inch piece fresh ginger root
  • Blend until smooth and all ingredients are processed.
  • Enjoy!

Notes

Variations:
    • Add some collagen or protein powder, a tablespoon of hemp seeds, chia or flax seeds, if preferred.
    • Use two Mandarin oranges, a navel orange, or any sweet type that's on sale.
    • Use frozen pineapple chunks or pieces of frozen banana as ice cubes for an extra cool experience.
Storage:
This spinach orange smoothie recipe makes one large serving or two small servings. To make more, simply double the ingredients.
It's best enjoyed as soon as possible. Leftovers can be frozen in an ice cube tray and blended when ready to enjoy.
